Noah Gets OS X Support, EXpansion Kit Option, and Special Pricing October 7, 2003
Starting mid October, new Noah units will be shipping with the Remote
Software version 1.1 for Windows and Mac OS X. All existing Noah users can
then download the new software from the CreamWare website free of charge.
With the new Noah Remote Software version 1.1, Noah can be controlled
from Macintosh computers under OS X. Other new features of version 1.1
include an ASIO driver for two playback and recording of six audio
channels, as well as many improvements to the individual Noah instruments
and an overall optimization.
The new Noah EXpansion Kit makes it possible to upgrade a Noah synthesizer
to the EX version. An upgraded Noah provides the double in processing power
for instruments. Thus you can use up to four instead of two instruments at
a time and you have twice the polyphony of the standard version.
The Noah EXpansion Kit will be available within the next few weeks at a
price of 525 Euro. For warranty reasons, the expansion is installed
directly by the CreamWare distributors worldwide. Interested Noah users
should contact their local CreamWare dealer.
Noah and its expanded version Noah EX are also being offered at special prices as part of an X-MAS
promotion: recommended sales prices are 1,225
Euro (Noah) and 1,549 Euro (Noah EX). These special offers are
valid until December 31, 2003.
The physical modelling instrument Six-String is no longer included in the
standard Noah software package. This stringed instrument plug-in can be
purchased as an extra from the CreamWare Online Shop and at CreamWare
dealers. Instead, the Sequential Circuits Pro-One is now included with
every Noah even though the introductory phase has ended.
