Johnson Introduces Red Cliff Acoustic Guitars

February 6, 2003

Nestled deep in the Caribbean, off the coast of Honduras, lies the sleepy seaside town of Red Cliff. A small town on a small island, Red Cliff has only one main road that runs through this underdeveloped tropical paradise. Without all of the distractions of modern life, the people in this town are known for their strong love of tradition and song.

Johnson Red Cliff acoustic guitars, from The Music Link, are handcarved with imported Honduran mahogany, giving these guitars a rich, smooth tone. These instruments also feature scalloped bracing for expertly matched tone and acoustic response.

The rich Honduran mahogany is accentuated by the smooth, satin finish. The tortoise shell pickguard and inlaid herringbone rosette add style and grace. With a low starting list of just $180, these guitars are available in dreadnaught, cutaway, and 12-string shapes, with the added option of a B-Band EQ pickup. The B-Band pickup is an under-saddle transducer pickup and small profile 3-Band EQ.

"Our Red Cliff guitars offer players more guitar for the buck, than most acoustic guitars twice their price," says National Sales Coordinator Jun Garcia. "Their rich, velvety tone is a direct result of the wonderful Honduran mahogany they're built with."
