Reverend has announced the USA-made Rumblefish PJ bass guitar featuring
Reverend J-style bridge pickup/P-style neck pickup, volume for each pickup
and master tone control. The chambered body is available in
Classic Solid, Wood Look, and Brushed Aluminum finishes. Options include
maple fingerboard, and two-tone teardrop case.
The aluminum reinforced neck features North American maple construction,
rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges (for a broken-in feel), vintage
yellow
satin finish, truss rod access at the headstock, 21 medium jumbo frets, 34"
scale, 1-1/2" wide nut, 10" radius fingerboard, and a medium oval back
shape like an early 60's J-Bass.
Designed by Joe Naylor, the body design features a wood based
phenolic laminate top and back laminated to a six inch wide white mahogany
center block, to which a small steel sustain bar is imbedded. The white
sides are a one-piece injection molded high impact polymer rim.
The body construction is designed to produce the attack and
sustain of a solid-body, plus the acoustic richness of semi-hollow
construction according to the company. The body is smaller than the typical semi-hollow and has no
f-holes, eliminating feedback.
