Six New Soundscan Titles Released

Ultimate Sound Bank
is shipping Soundscan vol. 50, 59, 60, 61, 62 and 63. The new Soundscan
titles are available now.
Starting with these new titles, USB is introducing the SOUNDSCAN V2 line.
The new range introduces patches in the format of many recent samplers.
Every Soundscan includes an Akai/Audio Mixed-Mode disc, and this doesn't
change. It's the Mac/PC disc that has been much enhanced...
The audio files supplied on the Mac-PC CD are much improved: all files are
compatible with the ACID-Enhanced .wav format, and all CDs featuring loops
are supplied with the .rx2 format (for Recycle 1 and 2 compatibility) in
addition to the .wav and AIFF files.
Next, each product includes a great variety of programs mapping the samples
for the major samplers.
On the hardware side, Soundscan V2 includes Akai "akp" programs, compatible
with S5000, S6000, Z4, Z8 and MPC4000.
On the software side, programs are supplied for the EXS24, HALion, NN-XT
included in Reason 2.0.
Soundscan 50 - Acoustic & Electric Guitars
1087 samples (586 acoustic / 332 electric / 169 muted)
This library features playable instruments carefully multisampled.
Acoustic 6 strings (nylon and steel), specialized instruments (12 strings
and Dobro), and a selection of fine electric guitars from major
manufacturers.
Soundscan 59 - Spanish & Gipsy Traditions
626 samples ( 355 loops & solos / 271 single shots )
This Soundscan was recorded with Gipsy performers and
delivers the trademark sound and rhythms of the genre. Guitars,
vocals, palmas and many other specific loops.
Soundscan 60 - Asian Traditions
412 samples (162 loops / 250 single shots)
This Soundscan addresses the need for traditional music from Asia: vocal,
percussion and highly exotic instrumental loops. This disc is a treasure
chest for authentic sounding loops and phrases.
Soundscan 61 - SFX Toolbox 2
770 samples (impacts, cars, gun, water, doors, home, computers, office,
switches, kitchen, boxes, bottles... )
Mostly short sounds and household objects starting with impacts (metal,
glass, woods), cars (inside and outside), guns (single and multiple shots),
gun handling and shell falling on the ground. The CD also include ambient
sounds like water , Doors, electrical and mechanical appliances, computing
and office sound effects. This collection then moves to a large selection of
switches and buttons, plates, dishes and other kitchen related sounds. It
concludes by boxes, bottles, money, lighter and matches and many other
specific noises.
Soundscan 62 - Complete Harp
380 samples (36 loops / 35 bisbigliandos / 39 chords / 29 cascades / 133
glisses / 108 single shots)
This collection starts with a nice selection of musically inspiring
phrases. You can benefit from the subtleties of Glissando and Bisbigliando.
Next comes a chord section and the classic "cascade runs" (up, down, up &
down). The collection ends with several variations of the instrument finely
multisampled.
Soundscan 63 - Balkanish Traditions

The Balkans have a great variety of music styles, faithfully recorded and
broken down in construction kits. Instruments include Accordion, Double
bass, Violin, Saxophone, Derbuka, Strings, Percs, Voices... In musical
recordings of Vlaque, Sirba, Paidouchko, Freilakh, Jovamo and many more. The
bonus section includes instrument multisamples (Accordion, Double bass,
Violin and Saxophone).
