Bitshift Audio announced the immediate availability of pHATmatik Pro 1.1, the first significant update of their audio slicing loop processor.
pHATmatik Pro is a plug-in instrument which integrates with all major host applications to provide a powerful yet easy to use set of tools for creative phrase mangling and groove manipulation.
pHATmatik Pro's transient detection algorithms allow any audio file to be deconstructed in seconds, affording the producer complete control over the component parts of his tracks. Precise changes in pitch, tempo and phrasing can be achieved, while the possibilities for more outlandish transformations are almost endless.
New in version 1.1
- pHATmatik Pro now fully supports the Mac OS X platform, running natively in both VST and Audio Units hosts. Classic Mac OS and Windows VST hosts are also supported.
- The new pHATfile format provides an easy and convenient way to save sample data with slice and tempo settings, all in a single file.
- An improved file browser with built-in Preview and Favorites.
- Exported MIDI files can now include note velocities extrapolated from loaded audio data. Ideal for creating realistic groove templates.
- pHATmatik Pro can over-ride transient detection and automatically slice on sixteenth or thirty-second notes, for easier handling of strict quantized patterns.
- Per-slice switchable one-shot playback mode. Perfect for live performance.
