Two New Titles Target GarageBand Users

April 19, 2004

Course Technology announced the upcoming release of its GarageBand learning tools. "GarageBand Ignite!" and "GarageBand CSi Starter" will hit the market on April 28, 2004 and May 1, 2004 respectively. Both the book (328 pages) and interactive CD-ROM (2.5 hours) are available for purchase separately and target beginning users of Apple's GarageBand. They also suit the intermediate user looking to brush up on some hidden tips and tricks of this audio creation tool.

In 328 pages, filled with screenshots and step-by-step instructions, "GarageBand Ignite" offers all the necessary information to get up and running quickly on GarageBand and its many features. Full of step-by-step instructions and visual examples, this is the ideal guide for beginners who have never used music creation software, but are ready to jump in and experiment. It starts of with the basics such as how to launch GarageBand and play songs. It then proceeds to more advanced topics such as how to incorporate Apple Loops into songs and how to arrange music and add effects for professional-quality results. The author, Orren Merton, has been writing in the professional audio field for over five years. He has done technical writing for Emagic Soft- und Hardware GmbH, and writes for numerous American and British pro audio magazines, including a monthly column on Sequencer News in Computer Music (UK).
