New SUB 1 Electric Guitar from Music Man

Music Man proudly unveiled its new SUB 1 Guitar, a mid-priced American-made guitar manufactured at the company's San Luis Obispo, CA factory. At just $595-$695, it's affordable to a broad-range of consumers. The guitar starts shipping to retailers nationwide Spring/Summer '04.

The company recently introduced the SUB and SUB 5 basses. The SUB 1 comes in a one or two humbucker version in a choice of four textured colors - white, black, teal and red.

Specs are as follows:

  • Neck -- Wood is select maple with rosewood fingerboard, with a black satin finish on the back
  • Body -- Poplar
  • Finishes -- Textured Music Man finish (colors mentioned above)
  • Pickguard -- Diamond Plate
  • Pickup configuration -- Single humbucker on the bridge or two custom neck
  • Humbuckers- one on the bridge or one on the neck
