Line 6 has announced the ToneCore series of stompboxes, building on the effects from PODxt, DL4, and Vetta.
Echo Park, Über Metal, Crunchtone, Constrictor, Space Chorus and Tap Tremolo can all be powered by a standard 9 Volt battery, or optional power supply. These pedals will be shipping this month.
ToneCore Pedals also feature a 2-in-one foot switch, for setting time-based effects to match your music's tempo on the fly. A firm tap switches the effect on or off, while taping lightly sets the time/speed of the effect.
The ToneCore series consists of:
Echo Park -- Based on the DL4 Delay Modeler, Echo Park is loaded with models including analog, tape, and digital delay. Different delay patterns such as slap, ping-pong, swell, and sweep can be adjusted with the twist of a knob, and the Mod dial can be tweaked for even more variations. Also features Tap Tempo and stereo ins and outs.
Über Metal -- Three distortion models based on the Line 6 high gain tones found in the HD147 and Vetta II amplifiers including Metal, Pulverize and Insane. Plus, built-in selectable Noise Gate and scoop control for massive tonal contouring.
Crunchtone -- Three full bodied overdrive models -- Blues, Pop and Crunch -- are based on Line 6's library of power tube overdrive models. Features Level, Bass, Treble and Drive knobs for simple yet versatile control. Also features a built-in Noise Gate.
Constrictor -- Three compressor models - Compact, Squeeze and Mellow. Based on classic analog compressors from the '60s, '70s and '80s. Also features adjustable sustain and a Noise Gate control.
Space Chorus -- Three models from vintage to modern - Chorus, Tri and Vibrato with adjustable speed, depth and color parameters. Also features Tap Tempo and stereo ins and outs.
Tap Tremolo -- Three pulse-pounding models - Opto, Bias & Stereo Panning all with Tap Tempo. Also features adjustable peak follower and stereo ins and outs.
