ModernBeats Releases Vinyl Scratchez 1 - Kiks and Cymbalz September 9, 2004
With the rise of software samplers in hiphop production,
the realism of vinyl is melting away. ModernBeats.com
wants to help rescue hip hop with a new series in its downloadable
library, with the first set being 'Vinyl Scratchez 1 - Kikz & Cymbalz!'
Packed with over 900 genuine vinyl scratch sounds, this
multi-format set set features live-recorded hiphop style
scratches, chopped and arranged into user-friendly presets.
Each preset has an average of 48 samples and gives the user
complete control over creating totally original scratch
sequences.
Each preset's layout consists of single scratches starting
at C1 on the MIDI range, then gradually becoming more complex
with longer patterns towards the end. Plus, the single scratches
have been grouped in pairs so matching forward-reverse scratches
can be triggered easily. By changing root pitches of the samples
in your software sampler, you can adapt the scratches to
style of your beat.
The soundset is sold as a multi-format product for all
major software samplers. Native formats inlcude HALion,
EXS24, Kontakt, Battery, Reason's NN-XT, SF2, and .Wav.
All scratch samples were recorded from professional turntable
artists. The software
sampler presets were programmed by ModernBeats sound designers.
"Vinyl Scratchez 1 - Kikz & Cymbalz" is available
download for $29.95, or can be ordered on CD-ROM.
