A1 PackLite(TM) Amplifier from Bose®
October 20, 2005
Bose Corporation announced the new A1 PackLite(TM) power amplifier, the latest addition to the Bose Personalized Amplification System product family.
While most power amplifiers are heavy and require rack mounting the A1 PackLite features a new power technology, letting Bose make the PackLite amplifier about the size of a hardcover book and a mere 3 pounds. It can be easily carried in one hand or slipped into a gear bag.
The PackLite power amplifier is designed for musicians who prefer to focus more on their music and less on the intricacies of setting up equipment to perform. The complexity is all on the inside, not on the outside. Operation is fully automated, leaving the musician nothing to do but connect the amp to a source, turn it on, and play.
The amplifier delivers a true 250 watts into 4 ohms according to the company and comes with a 1/4" TRS cable and a soft carry pouch for easy storage. High-intensity LED indicators -- easily visible from the top of the unit -- keep the user alerted to power and signal-level status. The amplifier is made with a thick aluminum shell and recessed connector panel.
The PackLite power amplifier will be available in November 2005
exclusively at Guitar Center, Musician's Friend, www.bose.com/musicians and toll-free at 1-800-905-0886. The announced minimum reselling price for the power amplifier is $399.99.
