Homegrown Sounds announced the release of two new sample collections: Homegrown Electric Sitar and Radiance.

Homegrown Electric Sitar was created with a Jerry Jones Electric Sitar, the modern equivalent of the original 60's Dan Electro Sitar made popular by artists such as the Beatles, the Stones, and more recently Paul Weller. It is a conventional guitar with a specially designed bridge and pickups to create a unique sitar like sound. This is the first Homegrown DVD to be released and contains 12 multi-sampled instruments, 400 WAV loops, and 378 REX (RX2) files, all samples are 24-bit 48khz, as a result of this some applications may not read the REX files, download the demos to check for compatibility with your software. The instruments contain one sample per note with an underlying velocity layer made up of one sample per string, and range from clean hard attack to experimental verby sitar pads in style. The loops are played on the sitar and are mainly picked melodies as these are most successful with the REX format. There are also a number of beat sliced variations. The DVD retails for £24.99 including postage.

Radiance is a new collection of Pads and textures ranging from angelic beautiful landscapes in the region of Eno, Budd through to darker harsher sounds, Trans Global Underground and Coil etc. The CD contains 200 long Wavs with well defined loop points weiging in at 675MB. There are patches for Halion, Kontakt, EXS24 mkII, and NN-XT, and the WAVS can be used in any application which reads WAVS such as SX, Nuendo, ACID, Fruity Loops and Ableton Live. The CD retails at £19.99 GBP including postage.
