Genz Benz has announced two new Shenandoah Acoustic amps, each
delivering its own unique feature set and performance for the acoustic
instrumentalist.
The new Shenandoah Stereo 60 is a compact, monitor-shaped combo that
offers 60-watts of stereo power along with stereo digital effects.
It features two channels with separate three-band EQ and sweepable mids. The stereo
Alesis Digital Effects add a
variety of reverb and chorus programs. The speaker combination is two 6.5"
woofers and compression tweeters. The suggested retail price is $679.00.
The new Shenandoah Acoustic Pro features blendable FET and TUBE preamps. The 12AX7 tube enhances the
acoustic guitar's timbre with unique characteristics of tube warmth and
subtle compression, including a more rounded bottom end and articulate upper
mid response.
The FET preamp is the classic Shenandoah design. The power amp design is a stout 200-watts
RMS that provides headroom for full-bodied, clean tone and the
foundation for the high level output.
The power and response of the Acoustic Pro is further enhanced by the 12"
Neodymium loudspeaker and compression bullet tweeter. The efficiency, tonal
response and lightweight characteristics of this 300-watt woofer make it an
excellent loudspeaker for acoustic amplification.
Other notable features include two channels each with three-band EQ and
sweepable midrange, XLR and 1/4" inputs, phase reverse switch and a separate
Alesis digital effects processor for each channel. This amp weights
in at 50 lbs. The suggested retail
price is $1,249.00.
Both models will be available January 19, 2005.
