Acon Digital Media
announced the public release of Studio Clean, a collection of
plug-ins for noise reduction and quality enhancements that
easily integrates with software supporting DirectX plug-ins.
It consists of the following plug-ins:
- StudioDenoiser is a plug-in for broadband noise reduction that takes the perceptual properties of the human hearing into account to reduce artifacts.
- StudioDeclicker contains two different algorithms. The actual click filter algorithm eliminates larger clicks and pops in the recording, while the crackle filter algorithm eliminates very frequent, but short clicks.
- StudioDeclipper restores recordings that suffer from analog or digital clipping.
- StudioRebirth adds synthesized high frequency harmonics to give life to old and dull sounding recordings.
The plug-ins support multi-channel audio up to eight channels,
including 5.1 and 7.1 surround formats. Both PCM formats (up to
32 bit resolution) and floating point (IEEE 32 bit) formats are
supported.
