To be officially launched at Summer NAMM in Indianapolis, Indiana, Sennheiser's affordable freePORT wireless systems will be available in three plug-and-play versions - Vocal, Presentation and Instrument - which use four switchable UHF frequencies through the use of diversity technology and dynamic processing.

The freePORT Vocal Set for singers includes a handheld transmitter outfitted with a cardioid pattern dynamic capsule. The set also includes a compact diversity receiver, with front-mounted antennas for improved reception, and AC power wall adapter, together with a mic clip and a manual.

The freePORT Presentation Set has been optimized for speech applications, including theatre performances and corporate events, and comprises an omni-directional, clip-on lavalier condenser microphone, a sturdy body-pack transmitter and a compact diversity receiver with wall adapter and manual.

The freePORT Instrument Set is configured for electric guitars or any instrument with a 1/4-inch jack socket output and combines the body pack transmitter and diversity receiver with a guitar cable. A wall adapter and manual are also included.

The switchable UHF frequencies allow up to four systems to be operated simultaneously, making the freePORT products suitable for group use. Diversity technology optimizes reception. The compact diversity receiver offers both XLR balanced and 1/4-inch jack unbalanced output options.

All of the equipment features robust housings for a longer product life. All three systems offer extended continuous operation of up to ten hours from a single 9V battery.

Available the beginning of July 2005, MSRP $499.
