Rare Earth Pickups are the latest break-through design for active magnetic acoustic pickups. At just over 1/2" wide, the technology contained in this diminutive package eclipses any other design currently offered in the marketplace. A dedicated, discrete class "A" audiophile preamp is encased in this awesome little package powered by a self-contained 3-volt watch battery. This buffered preamp allows you to plug into any impedance sound source without any output concerns. Add to that an extended frequency range and this active pickup is the true tonal king.
What's more, this unique design minimizes the space occupied in your soundhole, thereby drastically decreasing the amount of interference with your guitar's natural acoustic tone when played acoustically.
