GSP-2101 Artist July
12, 1996 DigiTech's award-winning GSP2101 guitar preamp/ effects processor just got
one step better with the introduction of the GSP2101 Artist. The latest incarnation
of the GSP2101, the Artist features 52 new presets written by over 30 of the world's
hottest guitarists and bassists. In addition to these new presets, there are 100
presets from the original GSP2101. The GSP2101 Artist includes presets written
by the following musicians: Steve Vai, Dweezil Zappa, Steve Bailey, Jennifer Batten,
Blues Saraceno, Eddie Berner, Jorge Casas, Warren Cuccurullo, Warren DeMartini,
Paul Pesco, Frank Gambale, Chris Haskett, Alphonso Johnson, Ivan Julian, Chan

The GSP2101 Artist now provides intelligent pitch shifting, as well as some other
great new effects modules, including Smooth Whammy and Smooth Pitch Shifter. A
programmable cabinet emulator is also featured to provide a variety of popular
amp tones when recording directly from the processor. The unit's tuner has
been improved to include dropped tunings, and a new, more intuitive interface
is included for setting up the optional Control One foot controller. Like its
predecessor, the Artist's extensive preamp features two 12AX7 tubes to produce
three tube distortions in addition its three solid-state distortions. With DigiTech's
proprietary S-DISC(R) processor, the new GSP2101 offers the same flexibility to
design customized algorithms from such effects as reverb, chorus, pitch shift,
detune, Whammy(TM) wah, flange, tremolo, arpeggiator, pan, phase and phase invertor,
as well as a crisp delay and sampler of up to five seconds. With the addition
of an optional PPC-210 expansion card, the Artist offers even greater effects
memory and seamless patch changing, making it the most powerful preamp/multi-effects
