Marshall Amplification adds the new VS230R Stereo Chorus Combo to its Valvestate line.

The two-channel, VS230R combo delivers 30 Watts of power per side and features a 12AX7 tube in its preamp section to help provide the tonal warmth associated with Marshall valve amplication. It houses two Marshall "Gold Back" 10" speakers specifically designed for this model and incorporates the latest version of Marshall's stereo chorus, with controls for both speed and depth. It also has spring reverb.

The channel-switching VS230R is equipped with independent Volume, Bass, Middle and Treble controls for both its Clean and Overdrive channels. The addition of a Tone Shift switch (which boosts mids & lows) on the Clean channel, plus Gain and Contour controls on the Overdrive channel, increase the VS230R's tonal range and flexibility.

A back-panel, headphone output mutes the internal "Gold Back" speakers making the amplifier suitable for private practice. Left and Right Line Outs for direct connection to recording or PA mixing consoles are also provided. A Marshall two-way footswitch with LED's to display the VS230R's channel and chorus status is standard equipment.

Marshall VS265R Stereo Chorus Combo

Marshall's Valvestate line now includes the new VS265R - a three channel, 2 x 65 Watt, Stereo Chorus combo housing two specially designed 12" Marshall "Gold Back" speakers.

The VS265R's preamp features three channels: Clean, Overdrive 1 & Overdrive 2, as well as a 12AX7 tube for tonal warmth. They can be switched via frontpanel buttons or the supplied 3 way footswitch. This foot pedal also switches the amp's Stereo Chorus "off" and "on" and features LEDs to display switching status.

The amp's Clean channel has independant controls for Volume, Bass, Middle and Treble and its flexibility is enhanced by a manual Tone Shift button which when activated boosts the mids while reducing the low end. The two Overdrive channels share Tone controls for Bass, Middle and Treble, but have individual controls for Volume and Gain. The tonal versatility of the Overdrive 2 channel is magnified by a Contour control which dramatically affects the mid-range.

In addition to separate controls for Speed and Depth, the VS265R's Stereo Chorus is assignable to Clean and/or Overdrive channels via a frontpanel switch. The combo also houses a natural sounding spring Reverb which has dual controls for Clean and Overdrive channels. A stereo, parallel Effects loop with a front panel Mix control adds to the VS265R's flexibility. Also, the unit has a Power Dimension Switch which gives a bigger, fuller tone at low volumes. A back panel headphone jack mutes the internal speakers making the amp ideal for private practice. The back panel also has Left and Right Line Outs for direct connections to recording or PA mixing consoles and Left and Right extension speaker outputs for use with the VS212 - a 2 x12 stereo extension cabinet containing two 80 Watt "Gold Back" speakers. This cabinet is specially designed to compliment the VS265R.
