Sennheiser 1081/1083 Mikroport Wireless Systems Now in VHF
July 11, 1997
Offering VHF at its best, Sennheiser introduces the SET1081-V and SET1083-V wireless systems. Successors to the SET BF1051 and SET BF1053, the new 1000 Series VHF systems combine Sennheiser's Emmy award-winning RF wireless technology with exceptional value.
Features including 6 switchable frequencies within a 7 MHz bandwidth, improved RF filtering and
interference rejection, as well as longer operating range offer greater flexibility and insure crystal-clear
true diversity reception.
The EM1031-V, a true diversity receiver, is at the heart of both RF systems. It is fitted with all features
that are essential for professional RF transmission: state-of-the-art circuitry with PLL synthesis,
Sennheiser's proprietary HiDyn plus(R) noise reduction for superb audio quality, and an Advanced Mute
Function for detecting interference and making transmission more reliable. Using the supplied rack mount
adapters, two EM1031-V's may be attached to fit into a 19" rack.
Both transmitters of the new VHF systems offer switchable sensitivity, eight hours of continuous
operation on one 9 V battery, and RF output power of 50 mW. The SET1081-V contains a handheld
transmitter with a supercardioid dynamic microphone that provides a frequency response of 80-18,000 Hz.
An integrated antenna insures reliable high-quality transmission. The SET1083-V comes with a small but
powerful pocket transmitter and an MKE2 red dot miniature clip-on lavalier condenser microphone which
is ideal for any application where an unobtrusive microphone is required. Frequency response is 80-20,000
Hz (+1/-3 dB).
Both new VHF systems will be available in late Summer 1997. They are supplied complete with
accessories and come in a cardboard carrying case. An optional hard-shell case is also available.
Suggested retail price for the SET1081 -V and SET1083-V are $795 and $995, respectively.
Sennheiser's new 1000 Series 1081/1083 VHF systems make quality VHF technology available for all
types of applications including fixed (de: schools, churches, fitness centers), rental, live sound and
corporate installations.
