Sennheiser 3050 Series In-Ear Monitors

July 11, 1997

OLD LYME, Connecticut- Sennheiser has entered the wireless in-ear monitoring arena with the introduction of the new 3050 Series, which consists of the SR3054-U single channel and SR3056-U dual channel transmitter, and the EK3052-U receiver.

A stereo UHF system, the 3050 Series provides the freedom of movement and flexibility increasingly demanded by today's performing artists. Not only does the 3050 series in-ear monitoring system play an integral role in improving the audio quality of a performance, but it also protects the user from vocal fatigue and potential hearing loss.

With an operating range of 500 - 1000 feet, the 3050 Series allows artists to perform creatively with a consistent, reliable monitor mix tailored specifically to their needs. Designed with Sennheiser's HiDyn plus(R) compansion system, the 3050 Series provides the limiting protection necessary in an in-ear monitoring system. A signal-to-noise ratio of more than 105 dBA assures end-users of the very highest sonic quality. The 3050 Series is designed for use with most transducers including the custom molded type suggested by many audiologists.

The SR3054-U and SR3056-U transmitters, each contained in a 1 U metal housing, have easy to read front panel LED's that illustrate power status, and offer 16 switchable operating frequencies within a 24 MHz range between 450 - 960 MHz. A headphone jack allows the front-of-house engineer to monitor the artist's audio mix as needed.

The lightweight, compact EK3052-U beltpack receiver indicates power and battery status via a well-lit LED display. Volume level is managed by the artist through a front panel control. The receiver produces an AF output of 50 mW at 16 Ohms, and is powered by 2 AA batteries that provides more than 8 hours of continual use.

Established in 1945 in Wedemark, Germany, Sennheiser is the acknowledged world leader in microphone technology, RF-wireless and infrared sound transmission, headphone transducer technology, and most recently in the development of active noise-cancellation.
