PlayPro Debuts Interactive Guitar Instructional Software

PlayPro Software Inc. of Santa Clara CA announces the introduction of their breakthrough
interactive CD-ROM guitar tutorial program. The first instrument in a series of interactive musical
instrument tutorial CD-ROMs.
PlayPro Interactive Guitar allows students to connect their guitar directly to a computer's sound
card without the need for any guitar modifications or having to use a specialist device. This enables
a student to use a computers sound system for amplification and to activate Comp-U-Pare,
PlayPro's world first technology that allows a student to record and compare their playing to original
examples. Comp-U-Pare then individually interprets both the accuracy and timing and offers graded
reports and helpful advice. A genuine breakthrough in musical instrument instruction technology.
PlayPro Interactive Guitar has been seven years in development and the package consists of 2
CD-ROM's, 2 Audio CD's and a 200 page book illustrating the course.
The exercises and examples cover all levels of playing from beginner to professional. The
CD-ROMs are based around a virtual fretboard where the student can see and control the fingering,
intervals and names of each note. All this is highlighted in real time as the student plays along with
any one of over 150 exercises.
The program contains over 50 full motion high definition videos shown from a unique players "what
you see is what you play" perspective.
The entire program can be completed with or without reading music or TAB and features the
PlayPro Dynamic Learning Method - the ability to think musically and play what you think.
A student can also play along with recorded "live" musicians or the MIDI Machine, which
transposes, loops, changes keys, tempos and performs other MIDI functions.
Aside from breaking new ground in programming and functionality, Interactive Guitar features state
of the art graphics and graphic resolution and contains a fully functional software version of the
BOSS TU-12 Chromatic Guitar Tuner. The world's most popular guitar tuner.
