TC Unveils G-Force at Summer NAMM

The guitar multi-effects processor destined to set new standard

July 11, 1997

TC Electronic will display G-Force, a guitar multi-effects processor destined to set a new standard for tomorrow's digital multi-effects processors. G-Force is capable of running up to eight different effects simultaneously thanks to a new and powerful digital signal processor and the newly developed TC DARC(TM) 3 chip. Retail price of G-Force is $1,795. "The G-Force allows guitarists and bassists to add the effects they want while preserving the integrity of their original tone, even in a serial set-up," CEO Anders Fauerskov said of TC's newest digital effects processor. "We have retraced the history and influence of the guitar effects that were made in the seventies and eighties, including our own world acclaimed TC2290 and TC1210. The tonal quality of TC products made over the last 21 years is, to this day, unequaled and the G-Force will prove itself to be no different."

Equipped with 24-carat gold-plated unbalanced 1/4" inputs and balanced 1/4" outputs, G-Force additionally incorporates what Fauerskov referred to as "killer" delay presets which bear the direct influence of experience gained while developing the TC2290. Fauerskov commented further that the new processor is outfitted with intelligent pitch-shifting capabilities designed by Wave Mechanics®; as well as an intuitive and extremely easy-to-use interface. He continued, "I am confident that the G-Force will become a benchmark standard by which all other guitar effects processors will be judged in the future."

TC predicts sales of the new G-Force to exceed those of the popular Wizard/M2000 and Finalizer combined. Shipping is scheduled to begin immediately following Summer NAMM.
