Roland SSM-151 Floor Monitor

Prototype
July 10, 1998Expanding its line of high-quality/low-cost sound reinforcement products, Roland's new SSM-151 Floor Monitor gives musicians a compact, high-powered stage monitor perfect for small to medium-sized venues. This precision-engineered monitor represents a true sound reinforcement value, offering high-tech features and specs not normally found in its price range.

The SSM-151's precision two-way design combines a 12-inch woofer and a specially designed horn tweeter for precise sound monitoring. Average power handling is a clean 150 watts, while the SSM-151's maximum power handling is an impressive 450 watts. Precision tuned components allow for easy monitoring of vocals and instrument sounds, while sound quality remains faithful and consistent even under demanding use.

This affordable monitor also offers helpful and unique "extras" like SPEAKON® connectors which provide easy cable connection and eliminate accidental unplugging, and a resettable tweeter-protection circuit instead of a conventional fuse -- eliminating blown fuses from excessive input.

With its angled design, the SSM-151 allows two distinct monitoring angles: 35 degrees and 55 degrees. Its rugged, durable construction was designed to provide musicians years of rigorous use, while its recessed cabinet handles make the SSM-151 very easy to transport.
