New Sound Forge 4.5xpanded Features + Support for NetShow Services and RealSystem 5.0  July 10, 1998 Sonic Foundry (AMEX:SFO) introduces the new 4.5 version of their flagship Sound Forge" product with expanded features and support for both Microsoft NetShow Services and Real Networks RealAudio/Video 5.0.
The 4.5 version includes the features of the 4.0 release, plus a built-in batch converter for automated processing of multiple files, a powerful spectrum analyzer function, and an advanced loop editing toolset with support for Sonic Foundry's ACID loop-based music creation product.

Sound Forge is a comprehensive audio editing environment containing a wide range of processes, tools, and effects for manipulating audio. Sound Forge has been built from the ground up as a Windows platform product, featuring DirectX plug-in compatibility and support for the new ASF (Active Streaming Format) for streaming web audio + video productions.
