Emagic's AMT8 Ships in July
July 23, 1999Emagic, the award winning European based software and hardware developer,
is proud to announce that the AMT8, Emagic's new 8 x 8 USB-compatible
MIDI interface for Mac and PC, will ship at the end of July, 1999.
AMT8: Active MIDI Transmitter
The AMT8 is based on Emagic's successful Unitor8, 8X8 MIDI interface/synchronizer,
without the SMPTE synchronization. The AMT8 can be mixed or stacked with
any Unitor8/Unitor8MkII set up. The AMT8 includes Emagic's unique AMT
technology (Active midi Transmission). This ensures that AMT8/Unitor8
systems driven by AMT compatible MIDI software, will provide a superior
timing quality equivalent to the timing of hardware based sequencers.
Up to eight Emagic interfaces can be stacked on a single RS-232, RS-422
or USB port.
Logic Audio Version 4.0.1 is required in order to use AMT8 with the USB
connection included with the latest Macintosh computers. The 4.0.1 update
CD for current Logic Audio 4.0 users is included.
Availability and Pricing
The AMT8 will ship in July of 1999 and carries an MSRP of $499US.
