July 23, 1999Yamaha Drums brings the quality and reputation that has made its drums
the choice of professionals the world over to a whole new market with
the Debut Series.
"For the first time, consumers can buy Yamaha quality at a never-before-seen
price," says Jerry Andreas, Drum marketing manager. "The Debut Series
is entirely Yamaha-manufactured, from the shells to the hardware. This
is not a drum set that we purchased from another company with our name
on the front head."
Features include Yamaha-constructed, nine-ply Mahogany shells utilizing
our exclusive Air-seal system (the same method used on Yamaha professional
drum shells), Mahogany bass-drum hoops, Remo drum heads, new springless-design
lug casing and the same professional-quality hardware as the Stage Custom
drum set-all attributes normally reserved for a higher price point.
The DP2F56 offers the most popular configuration, while the DP0F56 set,
with its 20-in. bass drum and 14-in. floor tom, is a great optional configuration.
The drums come in three plastic wrap finishes: Night Black, Sky Blue,
and Sun Yellow.
Yamaha's Debut Series balances the versatility to handle all styles of
music, the quality to carry the player from beginner through professional
levels and the price to make getting started easier than ever before.
"It all boils down to value," as David Jewell, Drum product manager, explains.
"The Debut set offers professional quality and performance far beyond
what its beginner-friendly price would suggest. From the wood bass drum
hoops to the quality hardware, the Debut set looks and sounds great." For more information,
