Electric Guitar Starter Kit from Yamaha
July 23, 1999With its new Electric Guitar Starter Kit, Yamaha Corporation of America,
Pro Audio & Combo Division, Guitars, has lowered the price barrier
and raised the performance bar once again. The aggressively priced basic
kit gives parents the opportunity to choose Yamaha quality without breaking
the bank.
The kit includes a high-quality, entry-level EG112U guitar, as well
as gigbag, pitchpipe, strap, extra set of strings, string winder and headphone
practice amp. Unlike other packages that force parents to buy a guitar
and amp together at a much higher price, the Electric Guitar Starter Kit
gives dealers the option of packaging the guitar with any amp they choose.
"Dealers need options and that's what the new Electric Guitar Starter
Kit is all about," explains David Bergstrom, Guitar marketing manager.
"You get the best quality guitar and basic essentials. We expect
this to be a real winner during the Christmas selling season."
The EG112U guitar is a full-featured Strat-style electric. It features
three pickups (two single coils and a humbucker in the bridge position),
a five-way switch, volume and tone controls, a tremolo bridge and covered
tuners. For more information,
