Yamaha Introduces YPR50 Digital Piano
July 23, 1999Yamaha Corporation of America, Pro Audio & Combo Division, Portable
Keyboards, announces the introduction of the YPR50 Digital Piano. This
76-key portable digital piano comes complete with a keyboard stand, music
stand and sustain pedal at a breakthrough price.
"The YPR50 represents an effort to get to a price point everyone
can afford," states Jim Presley, marketing manager, Portable Keyboards.
"A 76-key digital piano, at a price everyone can afford, from a company
such as Yamaha is welcome news indeed. Recent studies have confirmed increased
IQ in children participating in keyboard studies. Furthermore, making
music has been shown to release stress and yield other health benefits.
As a result, the timing of the introduction of the Yamaha YPR50 could
not be better."
The Yamaha YPR50 has an amazing list of features considering its price.
It comes complete with a stand and sustain pedal, and such innovations
as a built-in song library consisting of 20 of the most popular piano
songs and a companion music book. The left hand is recorded on track one
while the right hand is recorded on track two, allowing the user to practice
one hand at a time.
More help for the beginning student includes a feature that allows the
performer to use piano styles played by the left hand. Simply holding
down one key or playing the full chord can play these styles; the YPR50
does the rest.
The Yamaha YPR50 includes all the basics: 76 keys, 5 voices, touch sensitivity,
MIDI In and Out and the convenience of one headphone jack to enable practice
in privacy. The YPR50 reaffirms the Yamaha tradition of producing world-class
products at affordable prices. For more information,
