Co-created by Bob Weir, the Alvarez-Yairi Virtuoso Series guitars feature
cutaway folk body styles, elegantly appointed with abalone sound hole
ring and body binding. The WY1RD features an exquisite flamed maple top,
back and sides, complemented by a stunning Transparent Red finish. Ideal
for recording or live performances, the WY1RD provides players with an
extremely balanced tone and excellent projection.
Featuring a closed chamber body style, the Alvarez-Yairi Fusion series
guitars are designed to maximize performance volume while minimizing feedback.
The new DY88BL features a flamed maple top with mahogany back and sides, complemented by an exquisite Transparent Blue finish and elegantly appointed
with ivory/abalone body binding.
Created expressly for Alvarez instruments, the WY1RD and DY88BL feature
the built-in System 500 MKII pre-amp/EQ. Representing a new step toward
the realization of a truly natural acoustic guitar sound, the System 500
MKII is simple, but effective. Featuring high and low frequency shelving
filters, sweepable midrange contour. The System 500 MKII provides three
bands of EQ with +/-15db of boost/cut along with internal trip pots which
allow the user the ability to "fine tune" high and low frequency
response.
