PRESS RELEASE
| Hamer Import Duotone Electric/Acoustic
Guitar
February 3, 2000
Designed after the popular Hamer USA Duotone Custom,
this Import hybrid gives you both electric and acoustic sounds either
separately or together with a flick of the switch. The guitar is a great
tool for recording, giving the player the capability of recording two
sounds at once. For live use, having electric/acoustic sounds in one guitar
saves you from bringing more than one guitar to the gig.
The Hamer Import Duotone features an ivoroid bound, semi-hollow, mahogany
body with a spruce top and single f-hole. Two Duncan -designed humbucking
pickups are standard on this model. The vibration sensitive piezo, thinline,
bridge pickup gives the guitar a truer acoustic representation. Tonal
variation is possible via an active EQ circuit accessed on the back of
the guitar. Two 1/4" outputs direct the electric and acoustic sounds
via a mini toggle switch either separately or both at once. The Import
Duotone retails at $799.50.
