New Scott Ian Guitar From Jackson
February 11, 2000
Jackson Guitars debuts Scott Ian signature guitar
at the February 2000 Winter NAMM.
Scott Ian's fearsome assault of the guitar requires an instrument that
doesn't collapse under the pressure. His playing style demands a simplistic,
functional guitar with as few moving parts as possible, but with an excess
of power and presence. The JJ2 is just that - featuring a double cutaway
mahogany or alder body, 22-fret mahogany or quartersawn maple neck thru-body,
and an ebony fingerboard with dice inlay at the 12th fret.
Hardware includes two Seymour Duncan Scott Ian Custom humbuckers, chrome
JT390 tunamatic with strings thru-body, one volume, KILL button and a
3-way switch.
Available in all of Jackson's amazing 42 SELECT finishes. List price
is between $1795.00 and $2195.00 depending on desired finish.
