New Attitude Billy Sheehan Bass From
Yamaha

In celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Attitude electric
bass line, a product of the collaboration between bass virtuoso Billy
Sheehan and Yamaha Guitar Development, a limited edition, commemorative
instrument will be introduced at Winter NAMM 2000. Only 100 of the custom
signed and numbered units will be manufactured beginning April 2000. The
release also coincides with the tenth anniversary of Yamaha Guitar Developmentthe
companys r &d, artist relations and custom shopwhich works
closely with artists such as Sheehan to develop new and innovative instruments.
The
Attitude Electric Bass contains many features that are usually found only
on custom instruments, including a DiMarzio® P-style pickup, a neck
position DiMarzio Woofer and separate pickup outputs. The all-maple neck
is scalloped at the upper frets to the A and G strings for bending and
flashy improvisation. For additional effects, a Hipshot® "D"
Tuner lever lowers the bottom string from E to D.
The Tenth Anniversary edition will feature a custom finished body, fingerboard
and headstock, plus a special "Tenth Anniversary" decal. The
backplate of each instrument will be personally signed and numbered by
Sheehan.
