New Portable Cases and Bags for Yamaha

Yamaha is introducing a new line of portable
cases and bags designed specifically for the Yamaha S80 Synthesizer and
the P80 Digital Piano which will debut at Winter NAMM 2000. The cases
are hard-shell molded plastic and the bags are lightweight tear-resistant
black nylon, both helping musicians solve the problems of transporting
their instruments to and from gigs.
The Yamaha YBS80 is a unique padded bag that enables musicians to tote
their S80 synthesizers in comfort and style. It features built-in wheels
to maximize mobility and a padded handle. The tear-resistant black nylon
exterior includes two pockets for cables, sheet music or other accessories
with the Yamaha logo embroidered in white. The YBS80 will be available
in February.
"Players of these new Yamaha keyboards need safe and easy ways
for transport," states Dave Ominsky, marketing manager, Accessory
Products, Pro Audio & Combo Division. "These portable cases are
the solution to transporting concerns for all P80 and S80 musicians."
For those
keyboard travelers who prefer extra support or for extensive touring,
Yamaha introduces the YCS80 hard-shell case. This virtually indestructible
rolling case provides a hard molded plastic exterior, heavy-duty latches
and thick interior foam that protects the keyboard from shocks during
transport. With smooth action roller-blade wheels and a padded rubber
handle, transportation becomes easy when protection needs to be at its
maximum. The Yamaha logo is molded into the exterior of this case. The
YCS80 is now shipping.
Another new innovative device to help P80 users move from gig to gig
is the Yamaha YBP80, a padded bag designed specifically for the P80 Digital
Piano. The YBP80 provides 2 in. of thick padding on all sides of the piano
for the ultimate in protection. Three exterior pockets can hold sheet
music, cables, pedals and a music stand. A padded shoulder strap and handle
make traveling with the Yamaha P80 easier and more comfortable. The YBP80
is now available.
These two bags and case were specifically designed to fit the new Yamaha
keyboard models. Hard-shell cases are best suited for extensive touring
and travel where instrument protection is a primary consideration. For
transport to local gigs and other short trips, the two bags are ideal
choices with their low profile and light weight.
