For the first time, users of Digidesign's DAE (Digidesign Audio Engine), AV (Apple's SoundManager for AV and PowerPC Computers ), Yamaha's CBX D3 and D5 Digital Audio Processors, and Digidesign's Pro Tools III and TDM can use all of this hardware simultaneously. LOGIC AUDIO 2.5 offers the ability to use its complete range of audio tools - including the Stereo Sample Editor and Digital Factory on a Power Mac (using Apple's SoundManager) without extra audio hardware, and users can now configure their systems to their own preference without being chained to one particular hardware manufacturer's product. In other words, add the audio hardware you need, when you need it.
EMAGIC's TDM Extension expands the power of LOGIC AUDIO with up to 48 audio tracks using Digidesign's Pro Tools III. Multiple third party TDM Plug-lns can be opened, edited and even automated. The CBX Extension integrates the CBX D3 and D5 from Yamaha with support for DSP and EQ, and the ability to link two CBX units into the system. The AV Extension adds the Mac's built-in sound capabilities.
LOGIC AUDIO with all Extensions installed uniquely combines all of these hardware systems into an integrated whole that is controlled from a simple menu. LOGIC, LOGIC AUDIO and the entire Extension Series are 100% Native for PowerPC.
