eMedia Corporation announces the release of its flagship title: eMedia Guitar Method(TM)-a music education CD-ROM for Windows(TM) PCs. Designed to make learning guitar easy and fun, the title maximizes on the interactive capabilities and storage capacity of CD-ROM. The unique method bridges the generation gap with an approach equally suited to teenagers and adults.
eMedia Guitar Method(TM) contains 60 comprehensive lessons ranging from basics like stringing the guitar and playing chords to strumming styles, playing melodies and fingerpicking. The experience is enhanced by over 30 full-motion instructional videos and advice from professional guitar instructor and national performer, Kevin Garry. Included in over 3 hours of recorded audio is an option to choose either male or female vocals to help match the student's vocal range. Over 100 exercises and songs such as "Scarborough Fair" and "House of the Rising Sun" serve to reinforce the lessons and provide a variety of excellent practice material.
Students of eMedia Guitar Method can speed up learning by using a built-in recorder to record their own playing and compare it to the instructor's. Also unique to the disk and especially useful is the automatic tuner that allows one to play into the computer's microphone and visually tune the guitar. There's even an adjustable metronome to help keep the tempo.
eMedia, founded by Adrian Burton Jovanovic, formerly of Microsoft Multimedia Publishing, has created the first comprehensive CD-ROM guitar method for beginners.
