TASCAM has just begun shipping its new 302 Double Auto Reverse Cassette Deck. The 302 contains two fully independent cassette decks housed in a 3U rackmountable enclosure making this recorder an excellent choice for industrial applications where duplication and long format usage are common requirements. For recording lectures, presentations, or for flexible control in a DJ environment, the 302 will prove itself to be indispensable. Each deck is capable of recording individually or simultaneously, and each deck contains its own discrete set of interface connectors, transport control keys, noise reduction functions, LED peak meters and much more.
High speed dubbing and continuous playback & recording of program material between decks 1 and 2, makes the 302 an excellent choice for fast and easy duplicating tasks or extended duration work. For those demanding jobs, take advantage of the 302's advanced Control l/O and Cascade Out capability, enabling you to interconnect up to 10 machines for multiple dubbing and long format playback & record operations.
While dubbing, the 302's Sync Reverse function makes working with different tape lengths a breeze by enabling both decks to be reversed at the same time. Perform your dubbing tasks at Normal speed when you wish to monitor your work, or choose High speed when time is of the essence. Even the headphone-out jack is unique in that it enables you to listen to Deck 1, Deck 2 or a MIX of the two.
In addition to offering Dolby HX Pro headroom expansion circuitry, the 302 features both Dolby B and C noise reduction - providing exceptional flexibility for playback and record options. As expected, each deck features its own pitch control with +/-10% variation, a return to zero function combined with a highly accurate linear counter, and Computerized Program Search (CPS) capability enabling you to effortlessly locate various selections on tape.
The 302 Double Auto-Reverse Cassette Deck can be remotely controlled using the optional, RC-302, wired remote control. For multiple unit operation, the optional WR-7000 Synchro Cable is available.
