Pacifica 303-12 (12 String Electric) January 18, 1996
Yamaha Corporation of America is adding a 12-string electric to its popular line of Pacifica Series electric guitars. Showcasing at the NAMM Show, the Pacifica 303-12 will appeal to a guitarist's style, sound and sensibility.
For classy looks as well as sonic flexibility, the Pacifica 303-12 sports gold hardware and three specialty coil pick-ups that deliver that distinctive full melodic 12-string sound. In addition, the five-way position switch offers players convenient and versatile tone changes.
"Now an electric 12-string is an affordable option," says Jerry Andreas, marketing manager, Guitar Products, Yamaha Corporation of America. "An outstanding value, the Pacifica 303-12 offers guitarists excellent playability, plus classic styling and sound."
Made from solid alder, the Yamaha Pacifica 303-12 has great sustain and tone. The comfortable bolt-on 22-fret neck is made from Maple and the fretboard is constructed of Rosewood. The unique bridge set-up runs the heavier gauge strings through the body, while the lighter gauge counterparts run straight through the bridge. By splitting up the ball ends the strings can be kept closer together, thus keeping the neck width comfortable and bridge tension is offset through the body which helps maintain stable tuning. In addition, the bridge's innovative design allows each string to be intonated independently.
The affordable Pacifica 303-12 is available in Translucent Cherry and Translucent Blue. For more information, visit their web site at www.yamaha.com. |
