Yamaha CBX-K1XG MIDI Keyboard January 18, 1996
Yamaha Corporation of America is addressing the needs of the traveling musician with the introduction of the CBX-K1XG MIDI Sound Keyboard. This affordable standalone MIDI controller incorporates Yamaha XG technology and enhances the Yamaha line of highly-portable, sophisticated products.
Designed to access all aspects of XG, the Yamaha CBX-K1XG offers the same XG tone generator technology as the Yamaha MU50 Tone Generator. This means users have 737 high-quality voices, 32-note polyphony, three programmable effects processors and comprehensive XG MIDI control functions at their disposal anywhere, anytime.
"You never know when inspiration will strike," said Avery Burdette, product manager, Digital Musical Instruments, Yamaha Corporation of America. "Now musicians can have a portable, highly-capable MIDI studio to take with them wherever they go."
The Yamaha CBX-K1XG completes the studio environment by featuring a 37-note velocity-sensitive MIDI keyboard controller with pitch bend and center-detented assignable wheel, a to-host MIDI interface for a computer (perfect for a laptop), audio input, built-in personal stereo monitor system and headphone output. All this and the complete freedom of battery power gives musicians the ultimate in versatile musical tools.
The potential audio output offered by the CBX-K1XG when combined with other Yamaha products is staggering. For example, when a CBX-K1XG is combined with the Yamaha SU10 Digital Sampling Unit and a laptop computer (with appropriate software applications) musicians can have the capability of generating samples with the quality of XG technology at an unprecedented price point.
The Yamaha CBX-K1 XG retails for $499.95 and will begin shipping in the second quarter of 1996. For more information, visit their web site at www.yamaha.com. |
