Lindert Guitars Conductor

January 16, 1997

Lindert Guitars, Inc. has announced the unveiling of the Conductor(TM) electric guitar, the seventh design in the Loco-Motive(TM) Series by Charles Lindert. The Conductor(TM) prototype will be seen publicly for the first time at the 1997 NAMM Show in Anaheim, Calif.

The Conductor(TM) continues the tradition of superior quality and look of vintage design evident in the entire Loco-Motive(TM) Series. The Conductor(TM) is available with humbuckers or two Alnico standard pickups. The semi-hollow body is texture painted beechwood brown and cream. The uniquely shaped pickguard and tweed grille are reminiscent of early 40s amplifier and radio design.

"The 'Empire State Building' look of the pickguard can also be seen in popular architecture, train design and furniture of the 40s," said Charles Lindert, president. "The spider-web grille panel invokes the look of old gramophones."

The Conductor(TM) has an Escape Velocity(TM) neck ergonomically shaped to reduce hand fatigue and increase playing speed. The entire Loco-Motive(TM) Series uses the Escape Velocity(TM) half vee, half rounded maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. The necks also include Lindert's one of a kind Thumbs Up(TM) headstock.

The Conductor(TM) is a 25 1/2 inch scale guitar with 22 frets. Volume and tone controls feature chickenhead knobs to add to the classic styling. Retail price of the Conductor(TM) model with humbuckers is $659.00, standard pickups $629.00.

"The Conductor(TM) embodies the classic vintage look of old guitars more so than any of our other models," said Jennifer Sheda, representative for Lindert Guitars. "That in addition to all of the other outstanding, standard features of a Lindert Guitar will make this a big hit at NAMM and with consumers."

The Conductor(TM) joins the Loco-Motive T, S, Franklin(TM) and Diesel(TM) in the Loco-Motive(TM) Series. The Loco-Motive(TM) Series is hand-crafted in Chelan, Washington USA.
