January 16, 1997

Lindert guitars debuts its latest model of Bass VI in the Loco-Motive(TM) Series. The first Franklin(TM) Bass VI built in the Chelan Falls facility will be shown for the first time publicly at the 1997 NAMM Trade Show in Anaheim, Calif.

The Franklin(TM) Bass VI features Lindert's Escape Velocity(TM) neck, ergonomically designed to be half rounded and half vee for faster playing action and less hand fatigue. It is has 24 frets, 30 inch scale and utilizes a 21/16 bridge and 121/32 nut width which all provide unparalleled playability.

"They have a totally original sound. A sound like no other due to the unique hollow design," said Larry Krupla, production manager. "It also lends itself to other tunings well."

The Franklin(TM) Bass VI is tuned one octave below a guitar and uses 85 to 21 gauge strings. The neck is maple with rosewood fingerboard and of course, features Lindert's patented Thumbs UP(TM) headstock.

Like all of the guitars and basses in the Loco-Motive(TM) Series, the Franklin(TM) Bass VI has a semi-hollow body that is texture painted beechwood brown and cream.

"This instrument will appeal to many not only due to its versatility, but it also offers the same quality standard in the Loco-Motive(TM) Series." said Jennifer Sheda, spokesperson. "With the design and size of the neck, and the various strings and tunings that can be used, it can serve multiple purposes. Whatever type of music you play the Franklin(TM) Bass VI is more than suitable for cutting lead, bolstering and clarifying bass lines or kicking in an extra thump. The sound and tone that this instrument offers will add a different dimension to the music you play."

The Franklin(TM) Bass VI is available with humbuckers which retails at $809.00, with standard hand wound Alnico pickups $779.00. There are three other Bass VI models in the Loco-Motive(TM) Series; the Loco-Motive(TM) T, Loco-Motive(TM) S and Diesel.
