Lindert Guitars Skyliner January 16, 1997
Lindert Guitars proudly introduces the Skyliner(TM) electric guitar. In a matter of
days, the Skyliner(TM) flew from the drawing table of designer Charles Lindert to prototype
production, making it just in time for the 1997 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim.
"The Skyliner(TM) is different from all the guitars in the Loco-Motive(TM) Series," said Jennifer
Sheda, spokesperson. "The rocketship pickguard and grille panel take a step away from the
classically designed pattern on guitars like the Franklin(TM) and Conductor.(TM) But it still invokes
the nostalgia of a vintage guitar."
The prototype model seen in Anaheim has two single coil Alnico pickups and one humbucker. Like
all the guitars in the Loco-Motive(TM) Series, the Skyliner(TM) has Lindert's Escape Velocity(TM)
neck made of maple with rosewood fingerboard. Lindert's trademark Thumbs Up(TM) headstock is
sure to make this guitar stand thumbs above the rest.
The Skyliner(TM) continues the Lindert tradition of quality, hand made guitars and basses at
affordable prices. The body is semi-hollow and texture painted beechwood brown and cream. The
Skyliner(TM) is a 25 1/2 scale guitar with 22 frets. Retail price of the Skyliner(TM) is $665 with
humbucker.
The latest design joins ranks with Loco-Motive(TM) newcomers, the Conductor(TM) and the
Diesel(TM) as well as older models such as the Franklin(TM) and the Loco-Motive(TM) S and T. For more
