Peavey Axcelerator 6 Bass Guitar

The new six-string bass from Peavey Electronics Corporation, the Axcelerator 6,
is the product of unavoidable evolution. The Axcelerator broke onto the scene as a great bargain,
the Axcelerator(TM) Plus and Axcelerator(TM) 5 proved to be viable extensions of a reliable
concept; and now, with the introduction of the Axcelerator 6, the line is complete.
The Axcelerator 6 embodies all the features that have made the rest of the Axcelerator family so
popular. The deeply contoured body is made of light, resonant poplar with an extended upper horn
to improve balance in either standing or sitting positions. The one-piece maple neck is capped with
a pau ferro fingerboard that adds both beauty and stiffness. The VFL(TM) -6 pickups were
developed especially for this instrument. Their output is fed into the same shelving circuit found in the rest of the Axcelerator family, providing the wide-range response everyone has come to expect
from this line of high-quality basses.
