E-mu Sound Central Announces ModuleMania

E-mu SoundFont library continues to expand

January 29, 1998

E-mu Sound Central (ESC), a division of E-mu Systems, Inc. announces the release of ModulaMania, the newest addition to E-mu's expanding SoundFont® library. This 5 CD-ROM ModuleMania Series has been developed from the Proteus® 1,2,3, Vintage Keys, and Planet Phatt(TM) modules, and features the hottest 128 Presets from each of these best-selling products. These Module presets are encoded as SoundFont banks and come complete with all new SoundFont Librarian software. SoundFont banks are the proprietary data format used by the industry-standard SoundBlaster(TM) series of PC sound cards from Creative Labs, Inc. These 5 CD-ROMS will also offer sound support for the upcoming E-mu Audio Production Studio Series, E-mu's latest addition to their desktop music line of products, and will in effect be the equivalent of having 5 "virtual" modules on a PC.

"Now you can load in the best of the whole Proteus line, Vintage Keys, and Planet Phatt modules directly into your Sound Card for an amazing price of only $99. We want this to be an essential purchase for any PC sound card customer that can take advantage of the SoundFont library."
