Fostex Introduces the New X-55 and X-77 Cassette Multitracks with XLR Connectors

Fostex Corporation of America today introduced the Fostex X-55 and X-77 cassette multitrackers with dual XLR connectors for direct interface with low impedance balanced microphones. The X-55 and X-77 are enhancements of the popular XR-5 and XR-7 cassette multitrackers and incorporate all the features of the XR-5 and XR-7 including in-line monitoring, two aux sends, insert points and high-speed recording with varispeed (+/-12%).
The X-55 features 4-channel inputs, 2-track simultaneous recording with Darby(R) BNR and carries a suggested retail price of $479.00. The X-77 features 6-channel inputs, 4-track simultaneous recording with Dolby CNR, a unique assignable parametric EQ function and carries a suggested retail price of $589.00.
