Marshall JCM2000 Dual Super Lead

January 29, 1998

Marshall Amplification is showing the JCM2000 Dual Super Lead head in two models: the 100-Watt DSL100, and the 50-Watt DSL50. Marshall's engineering staff drew on their 35 years experience in amplifier design, combined it with the best sounds from many of their most celebrated amps and created the JCM2000-the consummate and most versatile of all Marshalls to date.

Powered by four specially matched Svetlana EL34 power valves, the JCM2000s feature a channel-switching design that yields sounds that range from "session" clean through ultra-high-gain crunch. The JCM2000 Dual Super Lead heads have two channels - Classic and Ultra-Gain - each with a mode switch that alters their respective gain structures across the entire tonal spectrum. Channel switching can be done from either the front panel or a remote footswitch.

The Marshall JCM2000 Dual Super Leads also features a Deep Switch, which adds a resonant bass boost for additional low end "growl", and a Tone Shift switch which is ideal for brutal metal tones when combined with high gain settings. The JCM2000s feature individual Reverb controls for each channel, as well as an effects loop which allows the guitarist to add their favorite external effects processor.

"I can look anyone in the eye and honestly say that the JCM2000 Dual Super Lead range provides guitarists with virtually any amp sound from un-Marshall 'Nashville clean' to jaw-dropping hi-gain crunch." stated Nick Bowcott, Product Manager, Marshall Amplifiers. "I believe these heads are destined to take their place with the other great Marshall amplifiers like the JTM 45, Plexi Super Lead and the 1962 Bluesbreaker."

The JCM2000 DSL50 & JCM2000 DSL100 have suggested retail prices of the following: JCM2000 DSL50...$1449.00; JCM2000 DSL100...$1599.00.
