PRESS RELEASE

Remo Graphic Heads Now Available in Standard and Custom Styles

January 29, 1998

In an effort to follow the drumming community's heightened interest in both vintage drums and computer-generated graphics, Remo, Inc. has announced the immediate availability of Remo Graphic Heads. A service of Remo's state-of-the-art Custom Graphics Department, ten standard graphic designs including classic monograms and drum-matching sunbursts, as well as a virtually limitless number of custom graphics, are now available on a selection of 18 through 28-inch Remo Ambassador Ebony and Smooth White Bass Drum Heads.

Standard Graphic Heads are available in a selection of ten styles. In addition to traditional monogrammed heads, a series of bass drum heads that match Remo's Flames, Blue Fiesta, Purple Sunburst, Grey Sunburst and Diamond Plate custom drum finishes are also offered. Remo's Graphics Department can also create custom drumhead designs, reproduce them in Black & White or Full-Color and then permanently laminate them to Remo's Smooth White or Ebony drumhead film. Neil Peart (Rush), Alex Van Halen (Van Halen), Ricky Lawson (Phil Collins) and Jonathan Moffett (Michael Jackson) are among the drum artists who have utilized Remo's custom Graphic heads in the recent past.

Graphic Heads are an outgrowth of the advanced digital imaging capabilities Remo has developed for its drums, drumheads and world percussion, and follow in the long tradition of personalized and painted drumheads that have been used by drummers throughout the 20th Century. Now, with Remo Graphic Heads, stock logos, monograms and designs plus school, band or corporate logos and other special graphics can be easily created and combined with Remo's performance-proven drumheads.
