Remo Expands Kids Percussion Line January 29, 1998
New Hand Drums, Seueeze Drum, and Doumbek
Building on the success of their Kids Percussion line, Remo, Inc. has announced the availability of new Kids Percussion instruments including the Kids Hand Drums, Kids Squeeze Drum and Kids Doumbek. These new instruments are based on the popular percussion instruments that are used in a variety of cultures around the world and, like all Remo Kids Percussion, feature Remo's exclusive "Rain Forest" FabriFinish coverings. The new Kids Hand Drums are available individually and in sets of 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14" drums. The drums feature Remo Fiberskyn 3 drumheads and and each include a soft mallet. Based on African Talking Drums, the Remo Kids Squeeze Drum comes with Fiberskyn 3 heads and a sturdy, rope tensioning system that allows the player to vary the pitch of the drum by merely squeezing the rope. The 6" diameter of the Kids Doumbek makes it easy for young music makers to play while its traditional shape and Fiberskyn 3 head maintain the Doumbek's characteristic, Mid- Eastern tone qualities.
New Lollipop Sizes and Doodle Drum
Two additional sizes of Remo's award-winning "Lollipop" drums and an erasable "Doodle Drum" have been added to the growing line of Kids Percussion from Remo, Inc. The popular "Lollipops" are now available in 6, 8 and 10-inch models and include a mallet, while the "Doodle Drum" come complete with musical staff graphic dry-erase head, mallet and two erasable markers. Recommended for children from pre-kindergarten through elementary school, both styles of new Remo kids paddle-drums also feature attractive point-of-purchase packaging.
