Brian Moore Guitars Offers “Midiaxe” True 5 Pin MIDI Option

January 28, 1999

Brian Moore Guitars now offers a true 5 pin MIDI in/out system using the patented “Midiaxe” high speed “Pitch to MIDI” conversion designed by Virtual DSP Corp. The system uses the RMC piezo pickup (built into the bridge) as the MIDI pickup and converts the guitars’ signal to digital MIDI information using a high speed pitch to MIDI system onboard guitar.

Features:

  • Allows direct access to all MIDI keyboard sounds and all MIDI sound modules providing infinite sound possibilities.
  • All MIDI sounds can be blended with the standard Seymour Duncan magnetic pickups and RMC piezo pickup (acoustic sound).
  • No need for an external guitar synth interface.
  • No externally mounted synth pickup.

Connect directly to your computer for use with a variety of software programs allowing features such as instant transcription of your music to standard notation. Or connect directly to your computer and jam on-line with other musicians from around the world.

There is growing trend in pro audio and home/project "MIDI studios”. This is the natural next step for the guitar giving it access to the “MIDI Studio” as a true MIDI device. Virtual DSP has reported that their "Midiaxe" system has received rave reviews from several high profile artists including Pat Metheny, Lee Ritenour, Russ Freeman and Frank Gambale.
