PARIS Software Version 2.0 Debuts At
NAMMMajor Release Delivers Significant Features

Show. Version 2.0 is a major step in the development of the PARIS hard-disk
recording system, delivering significant new features as well as support
for new PARIS hardware. Version 2.0 includes a crossfade command bar in
the editor window, the importing and exporting of stereo audio files (.paf,
sd2, and .wav), plus application support for the new SMPTE/VITC synchronization
module.
PARIS software version 2.0 is planned for released in February '99, and
is free to all PARIS owners via the ENSONIQ® Web site at: www.ensoniq.com,

Crossfade command
A crossfade command bar has been added to the PARIS editor window.
This allows users to choose from a variety of crossfade shapes and preferences
depending on their needs. Version 2.0 also supports the importing and
exporting of stereo audio files. Formats supported are .paf (PARIS Audio
Files) as well as .sd2 and .wav files.
Support for SMPTE/VITC synchronization module
PARIS Version 2.0 provides support for the new EDS-Sti-01 professional
SMPTE/VITC synchronization module. The EDS-Sti-01 reads and writes SMPTE
and VITC time code and supports NTSC and PAL formats. The EDS-Sti-01 supports
all frame rates, pul-lup/pull-down, black burst and house sync as well
