Fender's Passport Systems Gain More Flexibility

January 28, 1999

Building on the highly successful Passport P-150 and P-250, Fender® introduces two new products that enhance the power range and flexibility of these high performance portable sound systems. For larger events where more power and increased broad range coverage is needed, or where a subwoofer is called for, Fender introduces, both the Passport Powered Expander/Sub Bass System and the Passport Extension Speaker System to its sound system line.

PASSPORT P-250 POWERED EXPANDER/ SUB BASS SYSTEM

Many users of the passport occasionally need additional mixing channels or more routing and EQ facilities, but enjoy the portability and performance that the Passport offers. In combination with an out board mixer, the powered Expander is ideal: providing cost savings while retaining the key benefits of a full Passport 250 minus the mixing section. Other users sometimes require greater overall output power for larger venues and long throw, or wide angle applications. The powered expander can accomplish this by effectively doubling the output power and speaker coverage when combined with the master Passport system. For other user needing more low frequency output power, the Powered Expander can be configured by the flick of a switch which enables the system to operate as a sub bass enhancer. A variable high-pass and low-pass control optimizes the band pass of the system for a variety of applications.

The Passport Powered Expander takes your Passport portable sound system to a whole new level. No matter the application, great sounding reinforcement at greater levels is at your hands. Whether you use it for large meetings, outdoor events or just about anywhere, you'll receive full sound from your portable mixer or Passport system for both voice and music.

The Expander has 1/4" jack inputs for line level input from the Passport portable system or line output from the mixing console. Other features include: two Passport full range speaker systems, power and speaker cables, internal storage compartment for carrying power cord, speaker cables and extra microphone(s). The Passport Switch-Mode-Power-Supply gives go anywhere, world-wide operation on any a/c voltage, and 12 volt battery operation with the optional DC-DC converter.

PASSPORT EXTENSION SPEAKER SYSTEM

For more demanding applications, the Passport Extension Speakers System, when used in combination with a Passport 250 or Passport 150 systems, provides additional acoustic output power, coverage and/or throw,. Whether at a school, church, convention or gig, the Passport Extension Speakers will give you the extra punch you require for those bigger applications.

Consisting of two Passport full range speaker systems, a central transport/ storage tower and speaker cables, the Passport Extension speaker system is a simple and easily transported modular addition to the already flexible and capable Passport system.
