PRESS RELEASE

New White Falcon Jr. from Gretsch Guitars

January 28, 1999

The Gretsch White Falcon Jr. is the first new electric White Falcon guitar in over twenty years. This new smaller body style incorporates the top-of-the-line look of Gretsch's classic White Falcon in a smaller, sleeker body style.

"We develop very few new guitar styles, so new models like the White Falcon Jr. are very important," explained Fred Gretsch, President of The Gretsch Company."The small body Jr. guitars come out of customer requests for a smaller acoustic electric guitar that maintains Gretsch quality and tone."

The neck attaches to the body at the 18th fret, as on all double cutaway acoustic electrics from Gretsch. The body size is 14" wide and 2" deep, compared to the standard 17" wide and up to 3" deep for other White Falcon models.

Other features shared with the standard White Falcons are gold-plated hardware, rich detail work, and its pristine white finish. The classic Gretsch design is completed with a gold-plated Bigsby tailpiece and Gretsch roller bridge.
